Summer Sun
Most
of us love summer and love to be out in the sun but as we all know nothing is
more important than protecting your skin. As a person who burns and freckles;
and a mom to a daughter who loves being outdoors, protection is important to
me. I have always been disappointed by store bought brands that left my skin
greasy, stunk and even on occasion ruined my clothes. When Shauna {blossom's
owner and user of coola} introduced the organic sunscreen collection called
Coola to blossom clients years ago; I was instantly hooked and still use it
today.
Coola
is hypoallergenic, water Resistant, paraben free, petroleum free, phthalate
free, ultra Sheer and loaded with organic ingredients. It's available in scents
like plumeria, mango, citrus mimosa, pina colada and unscented and has age
defying antioxidants! It's perfect for any occasion and they have a specific
formula for your delicate face and for your baby too! Who wouldn't love that? I
am also excited because this year they have introduced a spray that I can't
wait to try! So go ahead and put on your summer dresses, head outside and
safely love the summer sun.

Tales From The Beauty Bag
I feel like there are two types of hand cream people out there: the one who must have some at all times because their hands dry up, or are (like me) and just enjoy a mid day treat of pure delicious, creamy moisture. You would not believe how much your hands make an impression! Having soft hands and well kept nails are one of the first things people look at when conversing and shaking hands with you.
Unlike other leading brands, Lollia has an impeccable formula. It feels soothing and moisturizing, without the greasy residue of most lotions. As well, it absorbs into the skin incredibly, a moisture that lasts for hours, while also being lightweight. The romantic scents and luxurious feel make this product a definite must-have in my beauty bag. I love that they also come in mini travel sizes to keep with me in my purse at all times, a little really does go a long way. I am in love with Lollia's Calm Shea Butter Handcreme, because this scent makes me feel so serene, reminding me of a spa, or a beach to yourself. It is my mid day pick-me-up. I treat myself to a generous amount and the scent just makes me feel at ease and refreshens my mood. Scents have a way of creating moods, don't they?

There's Always a Dog Involved!
You might already know that at Blossom, we are all crazy dog ladies, especially after this post! It just so happens, dogs are as crazy about us too. At almost every photo-shoot, somehow a dog sneaks in! Remember this too? We aren't complaining one bit about them crashing our party. Be sure to bring your pup to the Blossom Boutique next time you drop by!

HOW TO: Wear Neon
The weekend is over, but that doesn't mean the fun has to stop. Hopefully you have or will make up an excuse to dress up this week! The item of discussion: Our fabulous BB Dakota Neon Coral skirt.
So how do you take such a bold piece like this and make it work for a date night, and with the rest of your wardrobe? We pulled in some classic pieces, you probably (or should probably) have hanging up in your closet already! The key is to centre everything around the skirt, keeping things subtle and neutral and letting the statement piece shine (literally in this neon/glitter-tastic case!). Tuck a plain white fitted t-shirt into your skirt (StyleMint makes exceptional ones!). Throw on a leather motorcycle jacket over top; the juxtaposition of the ultra feminine skirt and the roughness of the outerwear is what makes this outfit, let's just say it: badass. To play up the sequin trimming at the bottom of the skirt, go for an oversized sequin clutch (it's okay to have a little matchy-matchy in small doses). A nude pump will help tone the rest down, creating some balance. It will also make your legs appear extra lean and long! This outfit wants to be taken out on the town! Enjoy your next night out.
