When spring is in full bloom, I love nothing more than
slipping into a pair of sexy pointy toe pumps. With all the pretty colours, classic neutrals, and various prints that spring pumps offer, it’s a fun and fresh way
to dress up your feet and play up your outfit. Here are some of my favourite
pumps I’ve been lusting after this season.

Pretty Pastels
When I think of Easter, chocolates, bunnies and pastels come
to mind. With the holiday approaching this weekend, I thought a pastel post
would only be fitting. Pastels are easily my favourite colour palette and I simply
adore its soft, dreamy hues. From mint, robin’s egg blue, peach, lilac, baby
pink and yellow, these pretty pastels are the epitome of spring and of course,
come in the form of my favourite Easter candy, Mini Eggs. Pastels just make
everything prettier (and yummier) don’t you think?

Spring Scarves
Spring is in the air and I am loving its arrival. I’m trading
in my heavy winter gear in favour of lighter clothes and accessories, including
spring scarves. Scarves aren’t just for bundling up in the winter; because of
its lightweight fabric, it’s a great transitional piece and perfect for spring
weather. Have fun with them -- I love the mixture of prints and colours spring scarves bring to any outfit.

Sneak Peek: Our Spring '14 Lookbook
Over the weekend we headed to the incredibly beautiful Allan Gardens to do a photo shoot for our upcoming spring lookbook. Surrounded by stunning plants, interesting cactuses and lush greenery, it was the perfect backdrop for a fresh, spring look with a boho chic theme. We had such a fun time collaborating with our talented photographer, Amy Cheshire, and our lovely and gorgeous model, Kyal Rankine. We can’t wait to see the final shots for the lookbook, but in the meantime, here’s a sneak peak at some behind-the-scenes photos I took.

Orange Lip Trend
This spring, orange is the new red. Orange lips have been making
a bold splash everywhere and we are loving this punchy citrus colour. You may
think orange can only work for some people, but don't be intimidated -- it’s actually universally
flattering. From a light, sheer coverage to a brighter, neon pop, there is something to suit everyone's complexions. Here are some of my favourite orange hues to freshen up
your spring beauty.

Red Hot for Spring
Welcome to Tuesdays with Tiffany, a brand new biweekly installment where I will be blogging about anything and everything Blossom,
from fashion and beauty trends, new items in-store and online, photo shoots and
much more!
Though spring still feels like a million miles away, what
with all the snowstorms we’ve been having, I’m looking forward to incorporating
a little spring in my step. I love coloured pants for spring and these new red
tuck ones from Bardot are the perfect bright, cheery hue. They’re super comfy,
with a slightly loose fit throughout and an elastic pleated waistband. The best
part is that they’re versatile and can easily be dressed up or down.
For a clean, classic look, pair these pants with a black or
white top (or a printed combination of both). It’s crisp and neutral with a
punch of colour – perfect for transitioning into spring. If you’re feeling more
adventurous, try colour on colour. Check out my blog little black pearls tomorrow for
how I style these red hot pants with a cobalt blue top.
Hope you’ve enjoyed my first post and be sure to tune in
every other Tuesday for your dose of Tuesdays with Tiffany!

Spring Blazers
As the weather gets warmer, we're looking into some great alternatives to your down-filled parka that will get you through the transition season.
Blazers are a great way to cover up without covering up your outfit. You're simply adding to it, perfect for indoor and outdoor wear.
Silk blazers are perfect for the warmer days where you just need that little something extra to cover up your arms. They're light, feminine and can be dressed up or down. Silk makes it incredibly easy to transition from night to day.
Patterned blazers are for those who want to make a statement. The eye is drawn to the details and can really change and make an entire outfit.
Equestrian blazers are a more structured alternative to other styles that looks more like a jacket without actually being one. It's great for those colder days as they are typically heavier that usual.
The boyfriend blazer has tickled many fancies over the years as they have been found in wardrobes, however adding a feminine touch goes a long way. With a masculine cut, finding a blazer with embroidery, embellishments, and without buttons definitely makes it more feminine. With these additional details, the blazer goes beyond a suit jacket and into your day and night wardrobe.

Hello, Sailor!
This summer, I am loving everything nautical. Nautical colours and patterns that have completely taken over my closet. We spend most of the year wishing we were on a boat, so naturally dressing like we are on one is the perfect way to day dream. What I also love about this look is that it is an effortless way to incorporate colour into your wardrobe... and coloured jeans only do great things for this look.

HOW TO: Wear Coloured Jeans
One of the hottest trends we are loving right now are coloured jeans. We love playing up our bottoms, and neutralizing the top to keep it balanced, although we do love colour blocking lately as well! The great thing about Blossom Lounge pieces are that they can be remixed effortlessly with the rest of your wardrobe. It's the everyday girl -street-style way. Our boutique offers unique cuts, styles, colours and prints you won't see on every other girl. It keeps your look original, instead of following every collection the mall offers. What's interesting is that even though some pieces are considered a "trend," Shauna, our buyer handpicks fits that are classic, which means you can style them in different ways for years to come. She has the best taste, all the Blossom girls "ooh & ahh" whenever a new shipment comes in! Spring/Summer calls for colour! Dress them up with some high fashion accessories (perhaps some Prada sunnies & heels?), or dress them down for a beach day that calls for some lunching, shopping & a long stroll on the boardwalk with ice cream.

OUTFIT OF THE DAY: Blushing Mint
We are loving our pastels lately! These BB Dakota Abel Pants (one of our most beloved Blossom Lounge brands we carry) are light, breezy and every bit Spring. The way we have styled these neutral, blush tone pants are with a plain cream tank, mint-hued cashmere cardigan & some texturized accessories.
Styling these pants is effortless; either pair with flats & a tee, or a fun blouse & pumps. Easily, an excellent workable piece to take you from day to night. The nude colour makes legs look extra long and lean, especially with nude/tan heels, as shown here. The tie-front and slouchy fit make these pants look anything but basic. It's refreshing to have bottoms to play up an outfit to make it more interesting, instead of it always being the top, no? We love. Thank you BB!
Sincerely, Stephanie
