Since the weather is starting to cool down a bit and the nights are getting chillier, nights on the patio or by the lake at the cottage are starting to get unbearable in just a tank. 

Forget that old, itchy knit and take a peek at my top three picks. 

These sweaters are perfect for chilly summer nights, 

and can easily transfer into your fall wardrobe.

 Anchor Sweater by Sundry: This simple yet stylish sweater is probably the softest thing you will ever touch. It's lightweight and cute for throwing on to run errands or just lounge around at home.

BB Dakota Cream & Black Aztec Sweater: I don't know about you but I adore these cardigan style knits. This sweater is great for layering and pairing with shorts, tights, and jeans. The knit design ensures that you will be super warm and stylish on those patio nights.

 MINK PINK Aztec Sweater: This sweater is a new take on an old favourite. The cool and colourful design offers a trendier feel to that old, black knit sweater. Not only is it cute to pair with shorts and sit by the fire, it's also super warm and non-itchy which means you will be extremely comfy and warm.

HOW TO: Wear Neon

The weekend is over, but that doesn't mean the fun has to stop. Hopefully you have or will make up an excuse to dress up this week! The item of discussion: Our fabulous BB Dakota Neon Coral skirt.

So how do you take such a bold piece like this and make it work for a date night, and with the rest of your wardrobe? We pulled in some classic pieces, you probably (or should probably) have hanging up in your closet already! The key is to centre everything around the skirt, keeping things subtle and neutral and letting the statement piece shine (literally in this neon/glitter-tastic case!). Tuck a plain white fitted t-shirt into your skirt (StyleMint makes exceptional ones!). Throw on a leather motorcycle jacket over top; the juxtaposition of the ultra feminine skirt and the roughness of the outerwear is what makes this outfit, let's just say it: badass. To play up the sequin trimming at the bottom of the skirt, go for an oversized sequin clutch (it's okay to have a little matchy-matchy in small doses). A nude pump will help tone the rest down, creating some balance. It will also make your legs appear extra lean and long! This outfit wants to be taken out on the town! Enjoy your next night out.

Our lovely, Blossom Girl Gabby (who you will find out more about in her Style File this week), wears this gorgeous BB Dakota cut-out dress in neon coral. Loving all the fun colours coming in to the boutique lately! It sure is gearing us up for the long anticipated summer! It is the perfect day dress, both flirty and fun, without revealing too much. Cut outs are in trend, but it can be difficult to find a dress that does not overexpose or cut too much out in the wrong areas. This is a well suited sliver that accentuates a woman's gorgeous back! The Laundry List

Calling all Domestic Goddesses! Clean your clothes, naturally, with our delicious laundry line up of Blossom's favourite detergent pick, Caldrea. Here at Blossom Lounge we love our clothing, and investing in great pieces that we want to take us through multiple seasons, requires some upkeep. Keeping an article of clothing in good condition requires little efforts that go a long way, from the way you store them in your closet and cupboards, to how you clean them. Of course, not spilling coffee all over them would be nice too! We get you busy girls, it happens!

These mild, yet highly effective detergents have powerful ingredients for your best clean and maintaining the colour. Whites never looked so crisp and colours have never appeared so bright. Long after you have folded your laundry, a beautiful fragrance deriving from the rich essential oils in the formula will cling on to clothes. Nothing is better than the scent of a fresh batch of laundry, and when that experience lasts even after laundry has been put away, well that is just an extra treat! I loved hanging out laundry to dry with my grandmother in the backyard when I was little, it left that fresh scent only nature could provide. With busy schedules, and unpredictable weather, hanging your laundry out to dry in order to capture that fresh air scent can be a challenge. Now, a little bit of that is captured in these bottles. HOW TO: Wear Coloured Jeans

One of the hottest trends we are loving right now are coloured jeans. We love playing up our bottoms, and neutralizing the top to keep it balanced, although we do love colour blocking lately as well! The great thing about Blossom Lounge pieces are that they can be remixed effortlessly with the rest of your wardrobe. It's the everyday girl -street-style way. OUTFIT OF THE DAY: Blushing Mint

We are loving our pastels lately! These BB Dakota Abel Pants (one of our most beloved Blossom Lounge brands we carry) are light, breezy and every bit Spring. The way we have styled these neutral, blush tone pants are with a plain cream tank, mint-hued cashmere cardigan & some texturized accessories. 

 Styling these pants is effortless; either pair with flats & a tee, or a fun blouse & pumps. Easily, an excellent workable piece to take you from day to night. The nude colour makes legs look extra long and lean, especially with nude/tan heels, as shown here. The tie-front and slouchy fit make these pants look anything but basic. It's refreshing to have bottoms to play up an outfit to make it more interesting, instead of it always being the top, no? We love. Thank you BB!

Blossom girl, Garlan is rocking a Mikayla sweater, that is both unique & cozy by one of our favourite brands we carry at Blossom Lounge: BB Dakota. We love the black, cream & salmon combination. Perhaps you have seen these colours all over Kate Spade's Spring 2012 campaign/website? 

It is one of those sweaters perfect for Spring, that you can carry in to the summer time for a chilly night at the beach. Everything from the colours, aztec pattern and bottom ribbed tassels make this sweater a one-of-a-kind, must have for this season. You may have also seen it {here} on another fellow Canadian, Monika Hibbs of The Doctor's Closet for her style at home post for The Glitter Guide that caused a frenzy on Pinterest this week.
